Happy
Friday everyone!
If there
is something that moves me is the excitement for the weekend. TGIF!
Today I
am sharing a look that can easily be dressed up or down. These pants can be
dressed up for the office during the week and dressed down for the weekend. I
love that trouser pants can be so functional since they can easily be
transitioned for different occasions.
For
Spring I love how many styles can be layered together to create the perfect
look depending on the day of the week. Today I opted for a casual look that is
simple yet put together.
I tend to
wear some of my favorite garments a couple times a week- no shame! It’s a way
of simplifying my life when it comes to getting dressed in the morning. And, so
I have a couple basic staples I usually have on rotation during Spring. It is
just easier to mix and match certain basics.
Five
pieces that are essential, in my opinion are: classic trousers, a basic tee, a
colorful tote, a light sweater, and a pair of comfortable shoes. These pieces
are so easily interchangeable and easily create Spring ready outfits. I adore
the fabric of these pants since it looks like chambray. However, the silhouette
is put polished and can is so functional. I paired them with a simple tee and
light sweater and this tote for a pop of color. This bag is a soft light weight
leather that has a classic slouchy design that I can’t wait to wear for the
rest of Spring. However, during the week, to dress this outfit up all I need it
to put on a blazer and a polished pair of heel and I am good to go- simple.
For
Spring the weather can be so difficult to plan for. This year in So-Cal it has
been colder than usual and it’s been raining more than any other year, that I
can remember. So usually I plan outfits that have layers and can be functional
all day. Most days I can get away with wearing just a tee with pants, but by
the evening I always need a light sweater.
Anyhow,
I’ve been grateful for the warming temperatures. I love more sunshine during
the day and the longer day light hours. Especially during the weekend because I
feel like I can get more done.
