Leather clothing , especially leather pants, have been a trend for as long as I can remember! I use to be scared to wear leather clothing because I simply felt too punk rock and too cheesy. However, incorporating leather pieces in your wardrobe is quite easy ! To achieve the edginess  of leather you don't have to wear full on leather pants and jacket. A little bit of leather can a long way. Small touches achieve just enough edge. Recently I have seen leather incorporated in to parts of clothing- like leather sleeves , leather trim, or leather patches. I found this leather-esque top at TJMaxx and thought it would be a perfect way to add leather to an outfit. Since the top is a sleeveless I immediately thought to pair this with a long sleeve of another color or print. Hope you like it!

Happy weekend everyone!! XO

Hope you like it!, Love it!

Floral for Fall

If you follow along on Instagram , you will know that I am a huge fan of floral and fully intend on wearing it all through out the Fall. I think floral is one of the easiest prints to transition into Fall. Beautiful floral prints resemble the beautiful colors of the changing leaves during Fall. I purchased this jacket during the spring, knowing well that the warm weather in Cali would allow me to wear it in the Fall. I have waited for months to wear this and finally the weather is cool enough for me to do it! I'm a little excited :) .

Hope you like it!, Love it!

Hey there all ! I hope everyone is having a good start to their week. This week I have felt a little nostalgic about the new season. Every season is the mark of a new chapter in the year. This week especially, I have realized how quickly life can change. A simple phone call can change everything. Life is so short and we spend the majority of it working- working for a paycheck, working towards some special goal, working on a relationship, etc. Its so hard to just enjoy. Enjoy our loved ones, our achievements, enjoy every waking minute that we are blessed with. I hope and wish everyone a very blessed week, season , and year. Lets all just enjoy it!

I also wanted to share something I completely fell in love with. I first read this last year  (from this blogger ) around this time a year and I thought I should share it......

When things in your lives seem almost too much to handle, when 24
hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and the 2
cups of coffee.
A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in
front of him. When the class began, he wordlessly picked up a very
large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf ball
s. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.
The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the
jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas
between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar
was full. They agreed it was.
The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar.
Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if
the jar was full. The students responded with an unanimous “yes.”
The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table
and poured the entire contents into the jar effectively filling the
empty space between the sand. The students laughed.
“Now,” said the professor as the laughter subsided, “I want you to
recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the
important things–your family, your children, your health, your
friends and your favorite passions–and if everything else was lost
and only they remained, your life would still be full.
The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house
and your car.
The sand is everything else–the small stuff. “If you put the sand
into the jar first,” he continued, “there is no room for the pebbles
or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time
and energy on the small stuff you will never have room for the things
that are important to you.
“Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play
with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your
spouse out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to
clean the house and fix the disposal. Take care of the golf balls
first–the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is
just sand.”
One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee
represented. The professor smiled. “I’m glad you asked.
It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem,
there’s always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend.”

Hope you like it!, Love it!
